Fasting & Detox                       May 23-June 12

This is an overview of the 21 days. Take these couple of days to prepare yourself mentally.
To ensure this is an adequate process, your eating will change drastically, for some. It will be hard but worth it!
  • For a few weeks we will take a break from processed foods, sweets, COFFEE, cigarettes, starches and alcohol.
  • DRINK WATER- at least half your body weight. For example, if your weight is 100lbs, you will drink 50 oz. of water.  Water is VERY IMPORTANT.
  • At least 7 hours of night time sleep is very important.
  • Be sure to include prayer, meditation, walking, or any exercise and yoga/Qigong.
Picture
For max results buy the 10 day Whole Body Cleanse with probiotics- there is an option for all pills or half liquid/pills. It's at Walgreens, CVS, GNC, Walmart or online.

This is an opportunity to rid your mind, body and soul of everyday toxins.

I think it's a good way to start healthy eating habits but I have to admit that this is very hard but I trust it will pay off later in life so I'm going to try me best to keep up the good habits once the trial period is over it goin ok so far still have my urges for burgers lol 💯💯💯

Understanding that it is a change in lifestyle and not just eating a certain way for a few days has been the key. I'm walking more and meditating more which allows me to detox mind/body/soul.

I see you remembered a key point- it's definitely not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Stay with it!

If you're HUNGRY and you know it clap your hands!! Day 2 of the detox diet and I almost gave up. I work in a doctor's office with 4 doctors and a nurse practitioner. Our practice is extremely busy and sometimes hectic, so I have to eat a pretty good lunch and snacks to have enough fuel to meet the demands.

Day one, I had a WHOLE bag of almonds, salsa, 1 apple, carrots, and 4 glasses of water. I went to bed early so I wouldn't be tempted to eat anything outside of the plan.

Today, I couldn't bare it. I finally broke down and started on the smoothies to help fill me up. Breakfast consisted of 2 boiled eggs and water. I ate 2 helpings of garden salad with vinaigrette dressing and 2 smoothies. For dinner, I'm eating field peas and snap beans. This evening is better, so I don't have to go to sleep so early.

Smoothie talk - what else can we use for smoothie's? I've been on a low sugar diet for a couple of weeks now and the juices along with the apples will blow that diet to smithereens,

The first few days are extremely hard and temptation is EVERYWHERE. Based on what you said, need more water, eat breakfast, and have your fresh made smoothies everyday. You can snack on crunchy fruit and veggies all day.

Today was MUCH better! I wasn't hungry. I ate two boiled eggs for breakfast, salad and a smoothie for lunch. Dinner will be the same as lunch. I didn't drink as much water as needed, but will try to do better tomorrow.

Yesterday I bought frozen smoothies from Walmart, but today I tried my hand at blending my own. I used two cups of frozen broccoli cuts and one cup of frozen seasoning blend - red and green bell peppers, onions, and frozen fruit blend with strawberries, mango, and pineapples. I used mostly aloe vera juice and some apple juice because the blend had a heavy vegetable taste. The taste was bearable, but I'll definitely only use one cup of vegetables and more pineapples the next time. I'll probably try spinach instead of broccoli also.

Meditation and spiritual time is designated for nights before bed. I've implemented a 20 minute high paced cardio workout in the mornings to get my day started.

Yay! Each day I've learned gets a bit easy to manage. Keeping water part of our intake in necessary and what I've come to find out, makes me full :). Keep up the good lifestyle change love.

And yes meditation is KEY! I start and end my day with meditation and a stroll around the neighborhood. #StayHealthy

WATER IS KEY! Meditation works wonders! Adding spinach will definitely remove that veggie taste in the smoothie. Good to see you venturing out and experimenting with it.
Keep pushing, team!

No hunger pains today! I learned how to naturally sweeten my smoothies with peaches and mango. Today's meal plan include lightly salted almonds, water, 2 vegetable and fruit smoothies, green salad, and sautéed crunchy green beans!

I'm definitely going to maintain this lifestyle change! It's easy and I'm getting way more vegetables in my diet.
